I want to suggest ppl using their other senses in the process of "reading" a comic. (eg senses like sound/touch/smell/taste...) i think this idea may inspired by the 3D & 4D movie experience when i was in cinema.
my first suggesting approach is to print/draw some pages of the comic in another material eg plastic sheet/ lantern paper to create sound when people flip the page.
other is to spray some smell into the panel (maybe full of flower)
third is placing the panel into different place to obtain the sound...
"Comic is normally an everyday element. As a book not especially expensive and it is a mass product.
If we take your idea it rather sounds like a unique item or an artists book."
"Even though you are making an artist book, the main problem is what's your story? what u r going to tell?"
"u may try turning it into the direction of wii or nintendo ds" (ask somebody who can work the program part with you)
"Maybe you can make a 2D room installation and let the people create their own story there"
"eg. using the idea of silent butler > silent friends & family"
"where to put the comic?"
"I know it's always hard to start :) "
